Niyamas – Tapping Into the Best of Ourselves

Like the Yamas, the Niyamas build on each other. If you are practicing one and not the other, life does not seem to flow as easily. Sure, you can get by, but not with much peace or balance. As we begin to practice and become aware, even with life’s challenges, we are able to discern and act in a way that serves us, our highest purpose and the good of the whole.

Tapas – What’s Your Zeal?

So, I am not content in my pose. I am not relaxing into it because I am too busy thinking about how long I have been holding the pose. Anybody else ever have that experience? This mild irritability causes me to become aware of my thoughts. After I get over still being in the pose, I begin to notice how it feels.
